Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a store front?
No, at the moment Shrinking Violets Vintage only operates online. However, we sometimes do hold pop-ups with our stock at vintage fairs, be sure to check our socials to be notified for when this happens.
What are your postage costs?
All our UK postage is free! And we combine postage costs.
On our website all International postage is set to £30 but we always refund any difference.
Do you accept returns?
Items can be returned within 14 days of receipt in the same condition as sent e.g. unworn with tags still attached. A full refund minus our incurred shipping costs will be given.
Customers are responsible for the cost of return. We recommend returns are sent via a tracked method, as unfortunately we cannot refund items that go missing in the post.

For the most part yes, only on the rare occasion will we choose to sell clothing from other eras. If this is the case, the products listing and title will state clearly if it is from any other era.
Do you buy clothing?
No! all our items are handpicked from vintage suppliers, we do not buy clothing from the general public. If you are wanting to buy or sell your vintage clothing we recommend you donate or sell your yourself.
How long does shipping take?
UK Postage is sent via Royal Mail 1st Class postage. This should usually take 1-2 business days.
International postage can take up to 3-5 business days. In both cases you will be able to track your order using the Royal Mail website.
During Royal Mail industrial action we may have to use a 3rd party courier such as Evri or DPS, you will still be able to track your order in these circumstances.
